AZAL to Operate Regular Flights to Moscow and London
Baku /26.03.20 / Turan: Starting on March 26, flights of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) in the international direction will be operated only to Moscow and London.
According to the airline, flights to and from both cities will be operated on Thursdays.
In order to prevent crowding, AZAL's airline ticket sales offices will be closed. Tickets will be available on the AZAL airline website (www.azal.az).
Arrival in Baku will be allowed only to Azerbaijani citizens.
Only passengers in whose name the ticket is purchased will be allowed into the terminal building.
Each citizen returning to Azerbaijan will undergo a medical examination and will be placed in quarantine. -06D-

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
