Azerbaijan and Pakistan will build up military cooperation
Baku/01.12.21/Turan: The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov and the Minister of Defense Production of Pakistan, co-chairman of the Joint Azerbaijan-Pakistani Commission Zubayda Jalal discussed today prospects for the development of military cooperation between Baku and Islamabad.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the development of Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations, discussed the main vectors of military cooperation, the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
A thorough exchange of views took place on the work on the development of bilateral and trilateral military cooperation with the participation of Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Turkey to improve the professional level of the military personnel of the three countries.
They also discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral and trilateral cooperation in the military-technical, military-educational areas, in the field of military production and other issues of mutual interest. — 06D-

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
