Azerbaijan Buys and Makes New Types of Weapons
Last year, Azerbaijan bought from the Ukraine, 14 units of BTC-5B armored vehicles, as reported on the web site Azeridefence, which is close to Azerbaijani military circles.
These vehicles are designed to transport damaged tanks and other armored technique. The vehicles are based on the chassis of the T-72 tank.
Previously, four such vehicles have been purchased in the Ukraine.
The same source reported that Azerbaijan is interested in Italian military-transport planes, the Spartan and military training planes, the Master. Talks on purchasing these planes are currently in progress.
The Azeridefence also said that in the future Azerbaijan will start manufacturing the MP-5 pistol-machine-gun based on Turkish license.—0—
