Azerbaijan completes construction of new road to bypass Lachin (video)
Baku/11.08.22/Turan: Road construction to bypass Lachin city has been over. The Azerbaijani State Roads Agency (ASRA) reported on August 11.
A four-tier bridge with length of 149.5 m and width of 13.5 m was built on the highway with total length of 32 km (10 km of which are to be constructed in the territory of Armenia).
At the last stage the horizontal markings were made; the road signs were installed where necessary. The new road, consisting of two lanes (on the uphill gradients - from three) and refers to the third technical category with a capacity of up to 3000 vehicles per day, at a speed of 100 km / h.
Note that Armenia has just announced a tender for the construction of its 10-km section from the village of Kornidzor to the border with Azerbaijan.
Therefore, after the closure of the current route of Lachin corridor on 25 August, the new road will be temporarily accessed from Armenia via an unpaved road. -06В-
