Largest mud volcano Lokbatan erupted
Baku/11.08.22/Turan: Azerbaijan's largest mud volcano Lokbatan, 15 km south of Baku, erupted at 9:36 a.m. on August 11.
According to the Republican Seismological Station, the eruption lasted for 5 minutes and 12 seconds. During this time a considerable mass of mud poured out on the slopes of the volcano.
According to Sahil Sarkhanly, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the first eruption of the volcano was recorded in 1829. Since then, eruptions have occurred 27 times. The last time it was in 2018. -05D-
