Azerbaijan says amnesty for Armenian military formations in Karabakh possible
Baku/22.09.23/Turan: Azerbaijan allows amnesty for Armenian military formations in Karabakh who lay down arms. Azerbaijani President's Foreign Policy Advisor Hikmet Hajiyev said.
"Even in respect of former servicemen and combatants, if they can be classified in this way, and even for them we envisage amnesty or also hint at amnesty," Hajiyev was quoted by Reuters as saying.
Nevertheless, some Karabakh military units and individual officers have publicly stated that they will not accept Baku's conditions and will continue to resist, the Azerbaijani presidential aide added.
Azerbaijan wants peaceful reintegration of Karabakh Armenians, Hajiyev said. -06В-

"The visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the to Armenia-Azerbaijan border area in the company of members of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), unfortunately, is another demonstration of anti-Azerbaijani policy of different EU member countries and European institutions. We deeply regret that President of the country which is officially a “strategic partner” of Azerbaijan has participated in the unacceptable diplomatic “binocular show” leading to the aggravation of relations between Azerbaijan and Poland,”" reads the statement on the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ account on X (formerly Twitter).
