Azerbaijan sends new batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine
Baku/30.10.23/Turan: Another batch of energy equipment in the form of humanitarian aid was sent from Azerbaijan to Ukraine on October 30.
The equipment was purchased within the framework of $7.6 million allocated earlier by Azerbaijan for Ukraine.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevskiy wrote about this on his Facebook page.
Electrical equipment will allow the energy system of Ukraine to provide heat, water and light to hundreds of thousands of homes. It will allow businesses and companies to work.
According to Kanevsky, the Russian bombing of cities and villages of Ukraine does not stop for a day.
With the onset of cold weather, new plans are being prepared to strike at Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the Ambassador notes.
Support of the energy sector of Ukraine is a manifestation of the strategic Azerbaijani-Ukrainian partnership.
"This support adds to our determination and helps us achieve victory," the Ambassador notes.
In turn, the representative of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, Alesker Hasanov, said that the total cost of the equipment sent to Ukraine today at the request of Ukraine amounted to 1.5 million manats.
Total cost of humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine has exceeded $33 million today.
Besides, 154 children from Ukraine who suffered from the war or lost their family members underwent medical and socio-psychological rehabilitation in Azerbaijan.
Also, the Azerbaijani side has completely restored the Lyceum named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, which was destroyed in Irpen. -03B06-
