Azerbaijan will adequately respond to the provocations of Armenia - Jeyhun Bayramov
Baku/08.04.21/Turan: Refusing to provide maps of minefields, Armenia continues its war crimes against Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated today at a joint press conference with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef Ben Ahmed al-Usaymin.
He assessed the position of Armenia on this issue as a "violation of international law".
Over the past few months, Azerbaijan has taken systemic steps in this direction and appealed to international organizations to influence Armenia to provide maps of minefields. “Azerbaijan will not allow Armenia to divert the attention of the world community from this issue,” - Bayramov stressed.
According to him, the signing of the trilateral statement contributed to the emergence of a new format of security and development in the region.
Azerbaijan is open for cooperation. “However, against the background of such a constructive position of Azerbaijan, we observe destructive steps and statements by Armenia,” - Jeyhun Bayramov stressed.
In particular, the Armenian Foreign Ministry continues to make provocative, destructive and revanchist statements. This shows that this country has not yet grasped the new reality, Bayramov continued.
“Azerbaijan is ready to establish a new format of cooperation in the region. However, if any provocations occur on the territory of Azerbaijan in the future, an adequate response will be given to this, ” - Bayramov added.
Armenia's refusal to provide Azerbaijan with maps of minefields is a very serious threat, mined areas pose a colossal threat to human life, in turn noted Yousef Ben Ahmed al-Usaymin.
“After visiting the liberated territories, our delegation reported on the threats existing there. The members of the delegation said that you do not even know at what moment you can be blown up by a mine. This is a very serious issue, ”said the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
According to him, these organizations will support Azerbaijan's efforts to restore the liberated territories.
The Islamic Development Bank is also ready to support the reconstruction work with interest-free loans and other assistance. -06B-
