Azerbaijani citizen arrested for spying in favor of Armenia
Baku/02.10.21/Turan: Azerbaijani citizen Zakiyev Aydin Zakir oglu, born in 1970, was arrested on charges of cooperation with the Armenian intelligence, the State Security Service of Azerbaijan reported on October 2.
As stated in the press release of the State Security Service, Zakiyev received assignments through third parties from a foreign country. Thus, he provided the enemy with data on the staffing of the Azerbaijani armed forces; distributed false tests he received from the enemy to thus create ethnic conflicts in Azerbaijan. The investigation revealed that Zakiyev helped the Armenian intelligence to recruit other people.
Zakiyev was charged under Article 274 (treason to the Motherland) and arrested by a court decision. The investigation continues. -02D-

On November 18, a single-person protest took place in the "Green Zone" at COP29. The protest was held by Ismail Djafarsoy, a technical staff member at the event. According to him, workers hired for the month of November were promised a daily payment of 20 manats.
