Karabakh will have no status, ready to meet with Pashinyan - I. Aliyev
Baku/02.10.21/Turan: "I am ready to talk to Pashinyan at any time as soon as he is ready”" Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with the Spanish agency EFE on Saturday.
This is how he commented on the statements from Yerevan about readiness for negotiations with the leadership of Azerbaijan.
Asked about the future of Karabakh and statements that it was necessary to determine the status of the region, Aliyev made it clear that this issue was closed. "It is impossible to return to the issue of the status of Karabakh. There is no status, and everyone should forget about it." As for the Armenians living there, 25,000 ethnic Armenians living in Karabakh are citizens of Azerbaijan and their rights are guaranteed.
As viewed by Aliyev, Armenia should demonstrate its "good intentions", then Azerbaijan's reaction will be adequate. However, Armenia has not yet given a positive reply to the peace initiatives
Baku. Also, Yerevan did not give an answer to the EU proposal on the issue of border delimitation.-02D-
