Azerbaijani Citizens Safely Evacuated from Wuhan
Baku / 02.02.20 / Turan: Azerbaijani citizens were evacuated from Wuhan, where an epidemic of the new Corona Virus broke out last December. This was reported on Saturday by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
"The Turkish plane sent to evacuate the citizens of Turkey and Azerbaijan flew from the Chinese city of Wuhan. Azerbaijani citizens were examined by Chinese doctors before the flight, and their condition is assessed as good. It is expected that the plane will land in Turkey tonight," the statement said.
The Foreign Ministry noted that upon arrival, Azerbaijani citizens will be quarantined in Turkey, which will last 14 days, after which they will return to Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed its gratitude to the governments of Turkey and China for the assistance, and solidarity with the Chinese people in this difficult time for them.
Earlier it was reported that in Wuhan there are 7 Azerbaijani citizens, including 4 students.
Four more students who left a week ago arrived in Baku on January 30 and were also placed in quarantine. — 06В-
