Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports of exchange of fire on border with Armenia and Karabakh
Baku/13.08.22/Turan: Azerbaijani army positions have been shelled seven times during the previous day, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday, August 13.
Seven of them were fired from the Armenian territory at Azerbaijani positions in Kelbajar, Gedabey, Tovuz and Lachin regions.
In another case, there was recorded shooting at positions of the Azerbaijani army in Kelbajar region by an illegal armed formation in Karabakh.
According to the Ministry, there were no losses among servicemen and vehicles of the Azerbaijani side.
"In all cases, the units of the Azerbaijani army took adequate retaliatory measures. The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the Russian-Turkish joint monitoring center were informed about the armed incident," the Ministry of Defense further said.
The Armenian side did not disseminate any reports about the shootings. -06В-
