Azerbaijani diaspora condemns the statement of "Fair Russia"
Baku/29.03.21/Turan: President of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis of Russia (AzerRos) Khanoglan Aliyev sent an appeal to the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, as well as the leadership of the Fair Russia party, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in connection with Nikolay Novichkov, the provocative statement of the deputy head central office of "Fair Russia”.
“On behalf of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis of Russia and on my own behalf, I consider it necessary to address because of the provocative statements of the deputy head of the central office of the “Fair Russia” Party Nikolai Novichkov, who publicly announced that he is going to include in the election program “Fair Russia - for Truth" the thesis about the expansion of the territory of Russia by including Nagorno-Karabakh - an integral part of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation," the appeal says.
Aliyev draws attention to the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly and firmly stated "Nagorno-Karabakh is an internationally recognized part of sovereign Azerbaijan."
The Russian leader has repeatedly stated that the territorial integrity of the state and the inviolability of state borders, as well as the creation of legal mechanisms aimed at countering the potential violation of these fundamental principles of the organization of the state as a result of the action of external and internal political and social forces, are categorically important for Russia as well, and for any sovereign state.
“I consider unacceptable any calls of such a provocative orientation, especially on behalf of the “Fair Russia” political party, which, in particular, also includes Russian Azerbaijanis. Such statements undermine interethnic stability, harmony and peace in Russia; drive a wedge into interstate relations that have developed over the centuries, and are backed up by personal, friendly and trusting relations between the leaders of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan.
I would like to draw your attention to the inadmissibility of such statements by the responsible person of the “Fair Russia” Party, I urge you to condemn his act and give an appropriate critical assessment. I hope that the leadership of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation will pay attention to such statements by Deputy Nikolay Novichkov, incompatible with parliamentary ethics, and will consider the issue of bringing him to disciplinary responsibility.
I ask the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation to check for the presence or absence in the actions of Russian citizen Nikolay Novichkov of signs of a crime under Article 354 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls to unleash an aggressive war using the media),” handling. -02D-
