Azerbaijani firefighters took over the fire control of the two power plants in Turkey
Baku/06.08.21/Turan: Azerbaijani firefighters took the thermal power plants "Kemerkey" and "Yenikey"under the fire protection in Turkey.
On August 6, Azerbaijani fire and rescue teams, together with local forces, managed to extinguish the fire at the Kemerkey power plant, Mugla province.
Also, the firefighters succeeded in preventing the spread of the forest fire to a thermal power plant in Yenikei, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan stated.
It has to be kept in mind that 500 personnel, helicopters and amphibious aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan are currently involved in extinguishing forest fires in Turkey.—06D-

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
