Azerbaijani Foreign Minister informed CSTO
Baku/15.05.21/Turan: On May 15, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin (chairing the CSTO) about the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, Bayramov informed his colleague that the Azerbaijani border guards are on their own territory and are taking measures to strengthen the border protection system.
In connection with the latest tensions on the border, the leadership of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan held negotiations with the Armenian border guards.
According to Bayramov, "Armenia's appeal to the Collective Security Treaty Organization on this issue has no grounds and is nothing more than an attempt by the leading circles of Armenia to politicize the issue."
Such issues should be resolved through negotiations, Bayramov said.
Recall that earlier Armenia applied to the CSTO, announcing the aggression from Azerbaijan. -02D-
