Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Replies to Pashinyan
Baku / 12.04.19 / Turan: The Prime Minister of Armenia, who called on Azerbaijan to renounce the use of force and not threaten to use force, should familiarize himself with the Helsinki Final Act of 1975, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a comment regarding Nikol Pashinyan"s speech in Strasbourg on April 11.
The second principle of the Helsinki Final Act states that states will refrain in mutual relations from the use of force or the threat of force, against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state.
The entire international community recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within the framework of internationally recognized borders, and the fourth UNSC resolution of 1993 emphasizes that Nagorno-Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan, and demands are made for the immediate, full and unconditional withdrawal of invading Armenian forces from the territories of Azerbaijan.
"We urge the Prime Minister of Armenia to take urgent steps in accordance with the requirements of the international community to withdraw the armed forces of his country from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan in order to ensure sustainable peace, security and prosperity in the region," the Foreign Ministry said in a comment. -02D-
