Azerbaijani soldier wounded on border with Armenia
Baku / 31.07.29 / Turan: As a result of a provocation of the Armenian armed forces, an Azerbaijani border guard was wounded.
According to the State Border Service (SBS), on July 31, at 4:40 pm, the enemy opened fire on the combat positions of the Gazakh border division. The Azerbaijani side fired back.
During the firefight, a military service officer was wounded. The border guard was provided emergency medical assistance and now his life is out of danger. The SBS does not disclose the name of the wounded man.
This is the second case of injury to the Azerbaijani military on the border of the two countries in July.
On July 18, a soldier Jeyhun Bayramov was wounded while on duty at the border post of the Gazakh border guard detachment. -06D--

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
