Baku Declares Hunt for Activist of Armenian Lobby
Baku / 21.02.18 / Turan: Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan announced the head of the Armenian-European Federation for Justice and Democracy, based in Belgium, Caspar Karampetyan wanted on the Interpol list.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reports that Karampetian is accused of illegally and repeatedly crossing the state border of Azerbaijan in 2014-2018 and a visit to Karabakh, where he made open calls against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
On February 20, 2018, Karapetyan was involved as an accused person in the criminal case under articles 281.2 (public appeals against the state, committed repeatedly) and 318.2 (illegal crossing of the state border of Azerbaijan by an organized group) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen in his respect, and he was declared an international wanted list by the Interpol, the report said. -02D-
