Baku denies information about the arrest of Russian aircraft in Azerbaijan
Baku/23.03.22/Turan: Information about the arrest of Russian aircraft in Azerbaijan is not true, stated the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, commenting on the statement of the head of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev about the arrest of Russian aircraft in Baku.
Over the past month, 78 out of 1,367 aircraft owned by Russian airlines have been arrested abroad. There is no longer any talk of their return to Russia, in particular, Savelyev said on March 22.
According to him, many planes were detained in countries friendly to Russia - Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, etc. The authorities tried to agree on the purchase of aircraft, but foreign companies are not ready to negotiate.
However, as Turan was told in the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, this statement of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is not true and is surprising. In Azerbaijan, Russian planes were not arrested.
“We call on the relevant organizations of Russia to refute this information that does not reflect reality,” the ministry said.—06B-
