Baku rejects an offer to hold direct talks with Karabakh
Baku / 12.01.19 / Turan: Azerbaijan will continue isolating Armenia until the occupied territories are liberated, President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of 2018.
As for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, Baku"s position is unchanged - the issue should be resolved within the framework of the territorial integrity of our country.
At the initial stage, the new leadership of Armenia tried to convince Azerbaijan to negotiate with Nagorno-Karabakh.
"We immediately rejected such attempts. Of course, the mediators involved in resolving the conflict also could not support such an incomprehensible approach and expressed their opinion. As a result, the negotiation process was restored. Several meetings of the ministers of foreign affairs have already taken place, and negotiations are being held between Armenia and Azerbaijan," said Aliyev.
Regarding the prospects for settlement, Aliyev stated that the recent changes in Armenia were the result of a deep crisis in this country.
"I have never concealed it and from various tribunes openly declared that we use all means to isolate Armenia until our lands are liberated," said Aliyev. -02D-
