Balasanyan returns to resume negotiations with Baku?
Baku/19.01.23/Turan: Separatist leader Arayik Harutyunyan decided to return Vitaly Balasanyan to the political field, the publication "Hraparak" reported on Thursday.
The publication claims that Harutyunyan managed to convince Balasanyan to return, and in the coming days he will be appointed as an adviser on military issues and he will be instructed to resume negotiations with the Azerbaijani side, which Balasanyan did as the "Secretary of the Security Council."
According to the publication, Balasanyan was fired at the insistence of "state minister" Ruben Vardanyan. The latter accused Balasanyan that he "cannot defend the interests of Karabakh and fulfills the requirements of Azerbaijan in the negotiations." Moreover, Vardanyan believes that there is nothing to negotiate with Azerbaijan, because Azerbaijan's goal is not in negotiations, but in achieving full control over Karabakh.
According to the publication, Harutyunyan demonstrates that he is ready for negotiations with Azerbaijan. In addition, he shows that he makes decisions in Karabakh, and not Ruben Vardanyan. ---02D---

On Friday, the Baku Serious Crimes Court continued the proceedings in the case of opposition politician Tofiq Yagublu. Yagublu's lawyers requested the summons of additional witnesses, including members of the National Council of Democratic Forces, opposition activists, and Yagublu’s wife, Maya Yagublu. Contrary to the prosecution's claims that Yagublu was involved in handing over money to facilitate a visa for Elshan Huseynov in the Zabrat settlement, his lawyers argued that he was actually attending a National Council meeting in the Pirshaghi settlement at that time. Witnesses can confirm this. The court partially granted the request, deciding to call four additional witnesses. The next court session is scheduled for October 18.
