Bayramov and Hogan discussed the prospects for the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement
Baku/09.06.23/Turan: On June 9, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Acting US Assistant Secretary of State Derek Hogan.
During the conversation, issues on the agenda of bilateral relations were discussed, and an exchange of views took place on issues arising from the process of Azerbaijani-Armenian normalization.
Bayramov drew attention to the position of Azerbaijan on the ongoing negotiations with Armenia last month and the prospects for resolving the remaining open issues on the agenda.
On May 1-4, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia took place in Washington. Following this, the ministers held a meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia on May 14 in Brussels, mediated by the head of the EU Council, Charles Michel. At the next meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia on June 1 in Chisinau, French President Emanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also joined the talks.
