Border Service announced the strengthening of the border in the Lachin region
Baku/14.05.21/Turan: Asking the question from Turan agency, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan clarified the events taking place in the Lachin region, near the border of Armenia. Fortification the borders of Azerbaijan is going on and a special infrastructure is being created to ensure border security, the press service of the State Border Service.
In connection with the dissatisfaction of the Armenian side, negotiations are being held between the border guards of the two countries, the State Border Service said.
The border service advises to familiarize with yesterday's statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, since the information message of the State Border Service does not differ from the position of the Foreign Ministry, the press service of this department said.
When asked what specific maps are used to determine the state borderline between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the SBS employee explained that there is no additional information that differs from the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“If we are instructed to issue additional information, we will provide it,” said a spokesman.
At 22:00 on May 13, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry announced that the country's border guards are carrying out normal work in the Lachin and Kalbajar regions, having entered the legal border of Azerbaijan after the establishment of favorable climatic conditions.
We add that the fortification of the border takes place at the top of a mountain in the Lachin region near Lake Garagel.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry explained the political tension in Armenia by the pre-election processes in this country.
