Bulgarian "Optix" holds talks with Azerbaijani military
Baku/07.09.22/Turan: A private Bulgarian company "Optix" is holding specific talks with representatives of various branches of the Azerbaijani army for delivery of its specialized optics to Baku, "Optix" representative Georgy Stefanov, who arrived at the "ADEX"-2022 exhibition, told Turan.
"The Azerbaijani side is interested in thermal imaging components for RPG-7 grenade launchers and other weapons. And we look forward to fruitful negotiations," Stefanov told Turan exclusively.
He added that "Optix' will soon be 25 years old and it is the main supplier of opto-electronic products for the Bulgarian army (night vision goggles are especially popular) and has contracts with companies from more than 45 countries.
"We specialize in the production of military and civilian optical components in line with world standards (opto-electronic and opto-mechanical assembly), thermal imagers, day and night vision devices and other military products," Stefanov specified.
According to him, the world's demand for "Optix" developments of integrated video surveillance and analysis systems (full cycle) required for protection of borders and strategic government facilities. Such systems have already been delivered from Bulgaria to Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South America, and Africa.
The "Optix" representative added that "we regularly participate in specialized tenders around the world. We recently won a tender from the European Border Protection Agency (Frontex) to build and supply such integrated surveillance systems."
According to him, the company regularly participates in ADEX exhibitions in Baku and considers this market promising for cooperation.-0-
