
Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) does not recognize religious communities mosques "Ashurbey" and the settlement Mushvigabad
The Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) made a presentation to the press, in which states that religious communities mosques "Ashurbey" in Icheri Sheher and the settlement Mushvigabad are not within their control.
Lately media criticised the CMO for not controlling these mosques where gather believers professing Wahabism and recruited volunteers to participate in military operations against the regime of Bashar Assad in Syria.
However, accordiong to the press release of the CMO, these communities , despite repeated warnings, have not been registered in the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations. Therefore, the CMO did not appoint clergy there.
The CMO says it does not recognize the persons representing themselves as imams and Akhunds in the mosques "Ashurbey" and the village of Mushvigabad.-05D06-
