Celebrating the National Day of Croatia in Baku
On Friday night the Baku Four Seasons Hotel hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Croatia - Statehood Day, which was attended by speakers of the parliaments of the two countries - Oktay Asadov and Josip Leko.
In his speech, Leko said that Croatia and Azerbaijan are developing mutual cooperation based on mutual interests. Zagreb also intends to increase the level of its diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
He said the conduct of this momentous celebration was at a time when Croatia became a full member of the EU.
Leko also pointed out the similarities in the historical destinies of the two countries, focusing on the occupation of the territories of both countries.
The two countries cooperate successfully in international organizations.
Croatia is also interested in expanding economic cooperation.
In turn, Asadov expressed his solidarity with his Croatian counterpart, and said that further cooperation between Azerbaijan and Croatia will develop also through the development of relations with EU. -16D-
