Charge d'affaires of the USA in Azerbaijan met with A.Hajily and T.Yagublu
Baku/17.12.22/Turan: On the eve of the US Charge d'affaires in Azerbaijan met with the head of the opposition Musavat party Arif Hajily and a member of the coordination center of the National Council of Democratic Forces Tofig Yagublu.
As Hajily wrote on his Facebook page, during the meeting held at the American Embassy, the socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, the current situation in Karabakh, the human rights situation in the country, the problem of political prisoners, etc. were discussed.
"We also exchanged views on US-Azerbaijani relations and cooperation of the US Embassy with the Musavat party," Hajily said.
In turn, Yagublu on his account Facebook reported that the human rights situation was discussed during the meeting. Detailed discussions took place on the actual abolition of freedom of assembly in the country, on the reactionary nature of the adopted new law on political parties, further noted Yagublu.
