China is interested in transport projects in Azerbaijan
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov visited China on March 13-14,and was received by the Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi.
According to the official report of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, during the meeting on 14 March in Beijing, Wang noted that China attaches great importance to the development of transport corridors. He also welcomed the signing of a memorandum by Azerbaijan on receiving SCO partner status (Shanghai Cooperation Organization.)
Mammadyarov noted the importance attached by Baku to the development of the transport corridor East-West and North-South, the possibility which will increase significantly after the start of the railway Baku-Tbilisi-Kars. -02D-

On October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing Georgian citizens to enter Russia for work or for a period of up to 90 days without a visa. The decree takes effect immediately.
