Civilians Killed in War to Receive Martyrdom Status, Their Families to Receive Benefits, Pensions
Baku / 05.12.20 / Turan: 94 Azerbaijani citizens who died in the Second Karabakh War will receive martyrdom status, and the social protection of their families will be provided, the State Social Protection Fund said.
In particular, 206 family members of those who died as a result of the Armenian shelling will receive monthly payments. Most of them (196) will receive a presidential pension, 151 people will receive benefits, and 40 will receive pensions. -02D-

The opposition Musavat Party has announced its participation in the upcoming municipal elections in Azerbaijan, scheduled for January 29, 2025. Ten activists from the National Front Party, detained on Monday outside the Nasimi District Court, were reportedly beaten at the 20th police station of the Nasimi district in Baku. A protocol was drawn up against them under Articles 510 and 535.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (minor hooliganism and disobedience to police), one of the detainees, Gülnara Rahimova, who was released, told Turan.
