Colonel Babek Samidli Buried in Goychay
Baku / 24.11.20 / Turan: Colonel Babek Samidli was the Azerbaijani officer who died in a mine explosion near the village of Sugovushan (formerly Madagiz) in the north of Karabakh on November 23. Today he was buried in his homeland, in the Martyrs' Alley of the Goychay region, local sources said.
The details of the incident have not been made public by the Azerbaijani side. It is known from Russian sources that a group of military personnel consisting of Azerbaijani and Russian officers, as well as representatives of the Armenians of Karabakh, conducted a joint search for the bodies of the victims.
It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry never published a message about the death of Samidli, although he held the high post of deputy commander of a large formation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. -02B-
