Commander of Border Troops Visits Border with Armenia in Gazakh
Baku / 27.03.19 / Turan: The Commander of the Border Troops, Elchin Guliyev, visited a section of the border with Armenia in Gazakh. According to official information, the purpose of the trip was "checking service and combat activities".
During the trip, Guliyev checked the operational situation, familiarized himself with the steps to strengthen the border security and gave instructions for carrying out adequate engineering work in response to the enemy"s moves on that side of the border. We are talking about the appropriate infrastructure in the form of roads, gas and electricity lines, and housing for border guards, the country"s Frontier Service said.
It should be noted that the day before the Armenian side reported that in the specified area the Azerbaijani Armed Forces attempted to carry out engineering work near the Armenian village Berdavan. This caused a skirmish.
Two weeks ago, a resident of Gazakh, Elnur Ibrahimov, under obscure circumstances, went over to the Armenian side and was wounded and taken captive there. -02D-
