Communication and technology management sphere reorganized in Azerbaijan
Baku/11.10.21/Turan: On Monday the President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on improving the management of digitalization, innovation, high technology and communications.
The document was adopted with the aim of expanding digitalization, developing the radio frequency spectrum, information technologies, regulatory mechanisms and creating a healthy competitive environment, increasing the investment attractiveness of these sectors and protecting consumers.
According to the document, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies will be renamed into the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
At the same time, two new legal entities of public law will be created - the Agency for Information and Communication Technologies and the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development (through the merger of the National Center for Nuclear Research CJSC, the Innovation Agency and the High Technologies Research Center).
Under the new ministry, the "Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency", the State Agency of Maritime and Port Transport "are also created. - 06D-
