Creation of a new party "Gelejek Azerbaijan"
At a press conference Thursday in the Media Center IRFS was announced about the establishment of a new political party "Gelejek (Future) Azerbaijan."
The member of the Organizing Committee for the creation of a new party, Aga Abdullaoglu reported about its establishment on 20 December, 2013. According to Abdulaoglu, the Board of the Organizing Committee consists of 13 people, nine of which are representatives of youth, and four are the older generation. "Forty days passed since the establishment of the party, during this period wee established organizing committees in 11 districts of Baku," said Abdullaoglu. According to him, the need to create a new political parties is explained by the weak activity of the opposition, with the exception of several parties, as well as socio-political situation in the country and in the region. The party will be mainly rely on youth.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Party, a 25-year-old Agasif Shakiroglu emphasized that the party will consist mainly of young people. According to him, during the last 20 years, the current opposition was leading itself to "to prolonged failure." A new strategy and tactics, and new techniques are required. Agasif Shakiroglu said the party will demonstrate "integrity, determination, uncompromising, lack of conformity." It is reported that on 14 February the Congress party will take place, then work will begin in regions, which is expected to be completed by May. It is proposed to use the institute co-chairmanship. "By 2015, we will create a large student movement, we will be second or first party important and powerful party," said Shakiroglu ambitious. However, he stressed that the party is ready to cooperate with the real opposition parties.
Responding to a question about the sources of party funding, Shakiroglu pointed to the members, noting that while the work was due to their personal funds. He rejected the information that behind the new party is a jailed ex-minister Ali Insanov or ex-speaker Rasul Guliyev. However, he said that the party intends to fight for the return of persons in political emigration, as well as the release of political prisoners. -04С-

On November 28, another hearing took place in the case of public activist Ilhamiz Guliyev. During the proceedings, the court reviewed a response from the 28th Police Station of the Yasamal District in Baku. At the previous hearing, the defense had requested that the court obtain footage from the surveillance cameras at this police station, where Guliyev was taken on December 4 of last year. However, the police response stated that the video footage had not been preserved.
