Czech Foreign Minister discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in Baku
Baku/30.09.21/Turan: While on an official visit in Baku, Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhanek was received on Thursday by President Ilham Aliyev. Issues of expanding cooperation in energy, trade, investment, and transport were touched upon at the meeting. Also, relations between the EU and Azerbaijan were discussed.
Note that the discussion of these issues continued at the meeting of the delegations of the two countries in the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
At a briefing after the meeting, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov noted that there is a great potential for cooperation between the two countries in the restoration of the liberated territories. In particular, negotiations are underway to attract Czech investments and companies for these purposes, Bayramov said.
An important aspect of the bilateral cooperation is energy where Azerbaijan provides 30% of the Czech Republic's needs. The Czech side is interested in participating in the Alat Free Economic Zone projects.
In turn, the Czech Minister called for the conclusion of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan to ensure the stability and development of the entire region. -02D-
