Ecoactivists declare their action to be indefinite
Shusha/13.01.22/Turan: The action of environmental activists in Shusha continues despite the snowy frosty weather. The protesters are constantly chanting slogans in Azerbaijani, English and Russian, demanding an end to the ecocide, Turan's correspondent reports from the scene.
Periodically, they voice slogans in support of the military and police who protect them. Eco-activists emphasize that they do not block the road, but prevent the export of raw materials from the mines, which are illegally developed by the separatists. They point out that Red Cross vehicles, ambulances, and convoys of peacekeepers pass along the Lachin road every day.
In the interval between 13:00 -14:00, a Turan correspondent observed the passage of a car of peacekeepers from Khankendi towards Lachin. And in the opposite direction went a column of 11 trucks, including a fuel tanker.
The post of peacekeepers with an armored personnel carrier is located 50-60 meters from the place of the action. The activists say that they are determined to continue the action until the end, until the requirements are met - environmental monitoring is ensured and the development of mines is stopped.
They also insist that in the future all goods transported through the Lachin road be checked by Azerbaijani structures. At the same time, they will not impede the passage of Armenian residents. --06B---
