Erdogan: "After Ramadan, We Will Visit Shusha"
Baku/31.03.21/Turan: Turkic-speaking countries should support Azerbaijan's efforts to restore the territories liberated from the Armenian occupation as a result of the 44-day war, stated on Wednesday Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states. The Turkish President again congratulated the leadership and people of Azerbaijan on the liberation of the historical lands in Karabakh.
“It is important that the Turkic-speaking countries continue to support Azerbaijan in the protection and revival of Turkic monuments in Karabakh. I hope that soon, after the Ramadan holiday, we will visit Shusha, which will become another holiday for us,” the Anadolu agency quotes Erdogan.
The Turkish leader noted that the changes that the world community is undergoing today further enhance the importance of such cooperation platforms as the Turkic Council. The time has come to raise the status of the Turkic Council, turning it into an international organization, Erdogan said.
The Turkish President expressed confidence that the joint efforts of the Turkic-speaking states will also contribute to the protection of the interests of the Turkish Cypriots. -02D-
