Baku/15.06.21/Turan: On the night of June 15, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit.
The Turkish delegation was met at the airport by First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov.
On the morning of the 15th, Erdogan and his entourage will go to the city of Shusha in Karabakh where the ceremony of signing of the bilateral agreement between Turkey and Azerbaijan is planned to take place, as well as other events.
Erdogan arrived in Baku from NATO summit. in Brussels. Following his talks with US President Joe Biden, the Turkish President made a number of important statements.
"The justice has triumphed in Nagorno-Karabakh, albeit with a 30-year delay. Now doors of the new era are open to replace enmity with peace, " Erdogan said.
The Turkish President made it clear that he highly appreciated Turkey's participation in security issues over Karabakh and Azerbaijan as a whole and NATO's contribution thereto. The Alliance plays an important role in ensuring international stability and security in all regions where the NATO "security umbrella" is needed, he said.
Touching upon his meeting with Biden, Erdogan called it very positive. All the acute issues and disagreements were raised.
When asked by a journalist if the topic of the "1915 genocide" was discussed at the meeting, Erdogan replied: "We did not touch upon this at all." -02D-
