EU will help improve access to water source information
Baku / 22.06.20 / Turan: Water experts from Azerbaijan and the European Environment Agency will conduct trainings on building online potential of Ecoportal's management starting June 22. This was stated in the message of the EU mission in Azerbaijan.
The main goal of the training is to disseminate information about the environment, water sources, and ecosystem.
The report notes that Azerbaijan suffers from a shortage of water and therefore it is important to efficiently use water and protect aquatic ecosystems. Ecoportal will provide an opportunity for the exchange of information between the relevant structures responsible for managing the country's water resources.
Information from the portal will make it possible to compare the situation with water in Azerbaijan with neighboring countries, as well as EU member states.
The design of the portal is based on the Water Information System in Europe (WISE). All EU member states submit their reports to this system. –71D-
