Europe Day-2022 program in Azerbaijan
Baku/05.05.22/Turan: For the first time after a two-year break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the EU delegation to Azerbaijan will hold public events dedicated to Europe Day which is celebrated on 9 May.
Head of the EU Delegation Peter Mihalko told about the program of events at a press conference on May 4.
On 12 May, debates and seminars under the theme "EU-Azerbaijan - strong partnership" will be held at the ADA University, and meetings of young people with Ambassadors of EU countries on various directions of cooperation will also take place.
On May 14, an event titled: "European Town" will be held at the Seaside Boulevard on May 14 where European culture and traditions will be presented. Also presented will be EU projects, including educational program ERASMUS +.
The "European town" will open at 11.00 am on the square in front of the "Ferris wheel".
The same evening at 18:00 there will be a concert of Azerbaijani singers with participation of Dilyara Kazimova, Ulvia Rahimova, Elena Namazova, etc.
Besides, an EU-Azerbaijan business forum will be held at the Fairmont Hotel on May 17. "This is an international event aimed at expanding economic cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan, deepening relations, exchanging experiences, diversifying the economy and education," Mikhalko said.
There will also be a report "Business Environment in Azerbaijan 2021." -06В-

On November 13, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Afghan Taliban held talks in Baku as part of the COP29 conference. According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting. Furthermore, conference security prevented journalists from asking questions to the meeting participants.

She had been accredited in the "Green Zone" as a civil rights activist. From the moment she entered the conference area, a young man began to follow her.
