Exercises of the Iranian Navy with the participation of representatives of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan
The Navies of Iran and other Caspian littoral states are conducting rescue security exercises in the Caspian Sea for the first time, IRNA news agency reports. Iranian and Russian vessels are taking part in the exercises, Iranian Navy spokesman Abbas Hasanov said.
According to him, representatives of coastal states, including the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan, are observing the exercises. Exercises aimed at developing cooperation between the Iranian Navy and other Caspian countries. During the 4-day exercises, along with maneuvers at sea, exercises on land will also take place.
According to the scenario, after the signal about burning ships in the Caspian Sea, Iranian Navy helicopters begin search activities and the “Separ” missile carrier is sent to extinguish the fire.
