Fleeing Russians from war ongoing
Baku/28.09.22/Turan: A car with the inscription "Military Commissariat" arrived at the border with Georgia, at the checkpoint "Upper Lars". According to Russian media, summonses are handed to persons of military age on the spot.
Eyewitnesses report that a humanitarian catastrophe begins in a multi-kilometer queue: people are running out of water and food, there is nowhere to go to the toilet, many refugees are mentally and physically exhausted.
Meanwhile, the authorities of North Ossetia have closed the entry of cars from other regions into their territory. Therefore, refugees sell them cars on the cheap or just throw them and then ride bicycles or on foot.
Local taxi drivers take refugees to the border for an astronomical fee – 100-150.000 rubles per person (1.5-200 dollars).
According to unofficial data, about 300.000 people, mostly men, have left Russia in recent days.
The fleeing is ongoing through Kazakhstan as well.-02D-
