For the first time in many years, the head of the Nakhchivan region met with citizens in Sharur
Baku/08.01.23/Turan: On Saturday, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Azerbaijan Fuad Najafli received citizens in the building of the executive power of the Sharur region of the Nakhchivan autonomous Republic (NAR). First, Najafli met with members of the martyr families, and then received other citizens who arrived at the reception to solve social and everyday problems. This is an unusual situation for Nakhchivan when a leader of a republican scale receives and listens to ordinary citizens. One of the visitors, Allahverdi Hasanov, told Turan that the local executive power hid the visit of the plenipotentiary from the population and tried to organize a meeting with trained people.
Hasanov also noted that such meetings with high officials had not been held before, and people, like himself, did not file complaints and requests to high authorities out of fear. It is noted that after the appointment of Najafli on December 22 last year, the district authorities in Nakhchivan began to organize receptions of citizens daily instead of once a week. ---0---

The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
