Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia Discuss Situation in Tovuz, Return of Citizens
Baku / 18.07.20 / Turan: On July 17, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia S. Lavrov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan J. Bayramov, the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
“S. Lavrov congratulated J. Bayramov on his appointment to the responsible government post. Mutual attitude towards the further development of strategic partnership relations between Russia and Azerbaijan was reaffirmed. Topical issues of bilateral relations and regional security, and the current situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border were discussed.
The ministers agreed to continue close cooperation on a wide range of agendas, including the issue of counteracting the new coronavirus infection and its consequences, as well as facilitating the return of citizens of the two countries to their homeland. -0-
