Foreign Ministry: Azerbaijan is ready for bilateral talks with Armenia
Baku/21.11.23/Turan: Armenia's failure to provide a response to Azerbaijan's proposals on the draft peace treaty within 2.5 months seriously delays the process, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement on November 21. “
This stagnation in peace negotiations does not contribute to stability and well-being in the region,” the document says.
Azerbaijan is ready for direct bilateral negotiations with Armenia in order to complete work on a peace treaty as soon as possible.
“We believe that both countries should decide together on the future relations between them,” press-release of the Foreign Ministry.
The responsibility for the continuation of the peace process, including the choice of a mutually acceptable venue for negotiations or the organization of a meeting at the border, lies with the two States. “We call on Armenia not to allow new unnecessary delays and hope for their positive response on the early start of negotiations,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in conclusion.
It should be noted that this message of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry appeared a few hours after Yerevan stated that it had handed over its proposals for a peace treaty to the Azerbaijani people.–06B-
