Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan condemned visit of Armenian Foreign Minister to Nagorno-Karabakh
Baku/06.01.21/Turan: “The illegal visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan to the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, meetings with local leaders there and signing “documents”contradict the trilateral statement of November 10, and do not correspond to the strengthening of peace and security in the region," reads the commentary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan in connection with yesterday's trip of Ara Ayvazyan to Karabakh.
“Armenian officials must accept the new reality in the region. Ensuring the implementation of the November 10 joint statement and the new security format that has emerged in the region, as well as steps emanating from the possibilities of cooperation, can contribute to coexistence in peace and security. The opposite only increases the tension in the region,” reads the information of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry.
According to the Armenian media, Ayvazyan held meetings with the "president" and "foreign minister" of Nagorno-Karabakh, discussed the "coordination" of actions of the two sides. A protocol was also signed between the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the Karabakh Foreign Ministry. -02D-
