Freedom House Publishes Report on Internet Freedom
“Freedom of the Internet”, the fourth report from human rights organization Freedom House will be published October 3 in Washington, DC. The report covers access to Internet, censorship, tariffs and user rights in 60 countries of the world. The organization's experts provide estimates of the main trends on the state on freedom of digital media. Senator Sherrod Brown and Mr. Stefansson, Iceland's Ambassador to the U.S. will participate in the discussion on the state of freedom of the Internet.
Sanja Kelly, Director of the «Internet Freedom», etc, will present the report. Previous reports from this organization explored the serious restrictions and problems of access to the Internet in Azerbaijan, on the issues of surveillance and harassment by intelligence agencies toward bloggers and citizens who criticize the government online.
