New York is Site of Meeting for Foreign Ministers of Turkic-Speaking Countries
The Foreign Ministers of the Council of Turkic-speaking states met as part of the UN General Assembly session in New York. Speaking at the meeting, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, called this structure "an effective platform for mutual support of Turkic-speaking countries in the international arena." Mammadyarov expressed his gratitude to the member countries of the Council for its support of Azerbaijan's position in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The Minister expressed Azerbaijan’s support for the initiative to establish the Cultural Foundation and heritage of Turkic states under the auspices of the Council of Turkic-speaking states.—06D--
