French Foreign Ministry: Do not recognize the NKR
Paris/17.11.18/Turan: France does not recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and does not maintain any relationship with those who consider themselves its leaders, the representative of the French Foreign Ministry said. Earlier, Armenian media reported that the head of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), Bako Sahakyan, is on a visit to France. Against this background, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said that Saakian"s visit to France forces Baku to reconsider relations with Paris.
"France does not recognize the self-proclaimed republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. It does not maintain any relations with those who appear to be its leaders," a representative told reporters when answering a question about protests in Azerbaijan in connection with the visit of leaders of the unrecognized NKR to France.
"As a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, France is working to find a peaceful and sustainable solution and fulfills its mission as an intermediary impartially," RIA-Novosti quotes the representative of the Foreign Ministry. Earlier the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry issued a statement accusing France
in double standards, which makes Azerbaijan reconsider ties with this country. -02D-
