Ganja is fired with Tochka-U tactical missile
Baku / 11.10.20 / Turan: The night shelling of Ganja was carried out with the Tochka-U tactical missile, the Assistant to the head of state Hikmet Hajiyev said this at a press conference in Ganja today.
He stressed that the shelling took place after the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement. “This is an act of genocide and a war crime, about which international organizations are informed,” he said.
The country's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev called the incident as an act of international terrorism. “A criminal case has been initiated on the fact and all measures will be taken to identify and prosecute those responsible for this crime,” the Prosecutor General said.
A similar act of terrorism was committed against the city of Mingechevir, where the largest hydroelectric power station in the South Caucasus, the Mingechevir hydroelectric power station, was fired. However, those released from the territory of Armenia were intercepted by the air defense of Azerbaijan.
As a result of a rocket hitting a residential building, 9 people were killed and 34 injured.
