Germany and the EU are pleased to release Leyla Yunus
The German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier called the change a measure of restraint of the Azerbaijani human rights activist Leyla Yunus to house arrest "an important humane step," reported late evening on December 9 the Agency AFP. The EU called release of the human rights activist a positive gesture, and urged Baku to further action in this direction. The EU expressed its readiness to "strengthen and develop" relations with Azerbaijan.
